Santa Run (Amiga OS4) (LHA)
Dear friends, it is with great pleasure that I announce the opening of "AmiGameJam 2016" presented by the retro games development team "Underground Arcade". You will have until January 31st 2017 to create a new Amiga game (or at least a single-level demo of a game) either on your own or in a team, that fits the chosen theme. A big thank you to Paul Kitching for the new logo he designed for the competition.
The theme this year is "TV Shows and Movies", so you are asked to choose a show or movie that you think would be fun to adapt into a video game. Try to pick one that doesn't already have an Amiga port. If you're not interested in the main theme you're allowed to enter a festive/Christmas-themed game instead.

The game can be coded or built with game creation software such as SEUCK or Backbone. This contest is open to both classic Amiga users and the next-generation Amiga users (Aros, MorphOS and AmigaOS4) with two categories. A First Prize will be awarded to the winner of each category and, in addition, Second and Third Prizes will be awarded in the Classic category.
1.) The game you submit as an entry must be made for the competition during the competition time frame. If you have an engine or previously written game, it is acceptable to use this as long as you create new levels for the competition. For example, the Halloween demo of the Amiga game "Mr Beanbag" would be accepted because it has new graphics, music and levels made for it. This is to ensure the contest is fair and fun for everyone involved.
2.) The game can be programmed either entirely from scratch if you like or constructed using game creation tools such as SEUCK and Backbone.
3.) When you submit your game, please include a readme with a short description of your game, how you made it, what resources you used and which of these resources were created specifically for the game. This should help people make a fair choice when voting for the games.
Entries should be submitted by the 31st of January 2017, and a panel of judges will make their decision in January. As well as online voting, we hope to get some celebrity judges involved and the prizes this year will be better than ever before (and delivered on time, too). If you happen to finish your game before Christmas time then your game will be linked on the "Amiga Christmas Tree" website for people to download and play on Christmas Day.

All entries should be provided as either an LHA archive that can be extracted and run from Workbench, or as an ADF file that can be written back to floppy or run in an emulator. A burnable ISO image for CDTV or CD32 would be fine too. If you have used any ripped graphics, sound or music please credit your sources, and let us know which language or game maker you used to create the game.
I suggest everyone to upload their game to Aminet but I would strongly recommend you find an alternative place to upload the file or e-mail your entry to me at email@example.com in case it doesn't appear on Aminet soon enough.
All entries should be finished by Midnight GMT on the 31st of January 2017. The winners will be announced in January as soon as we can. Good luck!
